Pendampingan Digital Archiving Simulation untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Mengelola Arsip Siswa SMK

Abstract

Records management instruction in vocational high schools (SMK) still faces challenges regarding the use of digital media capable of simulating records management processes that mirror real-world workplace practices. This community service initiative aims to enhance teachers' competence in implementing digital records management instruction using the ARSIMDU (Archive Simulation for Digital Office) application. The methods employed included needs analysis, partner coordination, "learning-by-doing" mentoring, hands-on application practice, and monitoring and evaluation. During the mentoring process, teachers gained experience in preparing instructional materials, developing simulation scenarios, managing the classroom, designing assessments, providing feedback, and tracking student competency progress using ARSIMDU's features. The results indicate that teachers are able to operate and integrate the ARSIMDU application into digital records management instruction in a systematic and contextual manner. This program contributes to strengthening teacher competence while supporting the implementation of vocational education that aligns with the needs of the business and industrial sectors in the digital transformation era.
